Hello and welcome to aaronatherapy!
I have always been into organic/holistic/natural anything, especially after my twins were born. Working full time and raising twins is no small adventure but every so often I would think to myself "I wish I were as creative with crafts as I am in my profession" (brand management/sales).
I love to cook and bake and love buying soaps at the craft fairs. One day I decided to give it try with melt and pour glycerin soaps. That was easy and fun but not exactly the "thing" I was looking for. I had heard that making cold process soap was "dangerous" because of the use of lye and that this was really difficult. I will say that one does need to be careful but it's only as difficult as reading a recipe and my mom always said, "if you can read, you can bake" so I read a few books on soaping, watched a bunch of YouTube videos and viola! I made my first batch of cold process soap. Now I make a batch of soap a couple of times a week. I sit in my room in our basement, play music and experiment with colors, scents, oils and patterns. It's my escape after a long day at the office.
The actual brand name of aaronatherapy was a suggestion from my cousin and I think it was brilliant! Why? Because like my name, my soaps are unique, one of kind, and interesting. No two batches are alike, even using the same ingredients, there's always some slight variation and/or difference.
So, if you like what I have buy it now 'cause the next batch will be slightly different!
